Welcome at MAPIX!

Why reinvent the wheel, when you can do good even better? At MAPIX®, we have developed Mira, Malou and Mico to give your old existing spotlights a fantastic new look.

This unique lighting concept, with its patented quick release system, allows you to continue using your existing case and transport solutions, and gives the lighting technicans, designers and those working with effect spotlights a whole new creativity potential. An easy to use WEB Interface round off the concept. These products can be used on many types of spotlights on the market with lenses from Ø 100 – 420 mm.

The system comes complete as a plug-and-play solution with all accessories and mounting equipment required for operation. Depending on the device type, Mico is supplied as a board variant for the resprective spotlight type or in housing form for truss mounting.

Technology & Products

Not just a simple node to distribute signals. Malou can do much more. The main function certainly is the control of the Micos and Mira. Via a web interface you can choose between Artnet and sACN as input. The eight outputs provide the user with 512 DMX channels each. These control up to two MAPIX® Micos (in 180 Ch. Mode) per output and provide additional 152 DMX channels for other devices. Malou is RDM capable, so devices can be remotely configured and monitored easily.

The highlight is Mico, a small control center for Mira. Depending in the device type, Mico is firmly installed in the respective device (fixture), which saves installation time and cabling effort. Operating from 6-channel mode with its integrated macros for small lighting control consoles, right up to 180-channel mode for large lighting scenarios, Mico is highly flexible. Mico can be configured via push-button on the device or remotely via RDM. Available as a circuit board version suitable for the respective device or as housing version for truss mounting.
